Official Nomination Forms for Aspirants to National Offices of the Nigerian Bar Association
This request by ECNBA for the nominations of candidates for the elections as National Officers and as the Representatives of the NBA in the General Council of the Bar respectively is made pursuant to the provisions of Section 10 of the Constitution of the Nigerian Bar Association 2015 (as amended in 2025) and PARTS III & IV respectively of the Second Schedule to the said Constitution.
Please find herewith attached, the lists of aspirants who have indicated their interests to contest the NBA Elections, 2026 as National Officers and Representatives of the NBA in the General Council of the Bar by submitting their letters of Expression of Interest as requested by the ECNBA 2026 Notices Numbers 2 & 3 dated 11th & 12th February, 2026 respectively.
Further to the ECNBA Notices No. 2 & No. 3 regarding the election of National Officers and the Eighteen (18) representatives of the NBA at the General Council of the Bar and pursuant to the provisions of the NBA Constitution 2015 (as amended in 2025), specifically Section 10 and the Second Schedule, the ECNBA hereby issues NOTICE NO. 4 on the Provisions, Guidelines and Rules to govern campaigns for the 2026 National Elections which is aimed at ensuring campaigns that are decorous, issue-based, and free from undue influences, inducements and other constitutional breaches and infractions. It should be noted that “election year” for the purpose of this Notice No. 4 means this year (2026).

In preparation for the elections we commence our task with this ECNBA Notice No.1. We wish to remind our distinguished colleagues that payment of Bar Practising fees (BPL) for the year 2026 opened on 1 st January 2026 and will run till 31 st March 2026.
